Obe and Whitney owned and operated Denver restaurant The Preservery for almost 7 years, during which time they conceived this effort to provide hunger relief for people experiencing homelessness. They realized, in doing this work through their own place, that the restaurant industry is uniquely suited to contribute to hunger relief but they also understood that very few restaurants are able to provide financial donations when profit margins in that sector are always slim.
The Preservery Foundation strives to provide hunger relief by both producing Giving Meals and also purchasing them from other restaurants. But, there are many different ways to partner with us!
